Frequently asked questions:
How is it possible that chiropractic can help with sinus
headache and allergies?
Spinal nerves from your upper cervical spine (the upper neck area)
provide part of the nerve supply to the sinuses and mucous
membranes of the nose and throat. If these nerves become
stimulated or irritated due to misalignments in the vertebrae of
your neck, sinus pain, pressure and drainage may result. Releiving
these subluxations can decrease the irritation to these areas.
What is the difference between a tension headache and a
migraine?
Frequently tension headaches are misdiagnosed as migraines,
particularly when they are accompanied by nausea or vomiting and
sensitivity to light. A true migraine headache stems from the
vascular system in the brain and may be accompanied by an "aura,"
visual or sensory disturbances that precede the headache.
Chiropractic can help with tension headache by decreasing muscle
tension and subluxated vertebrae, but chiropractic is also great for
migraines! By reducing stress on the spinal nerves, nervous system
function is improved causing a possible reduction in inflammation
of the blood vessels.

Did you know it is possible to have a vetebrogenic headache- a headache that stems directly from
subluxations in your neck and upper back? Another thing many people don't know is that
chiropractic can help with many different types of headache including vertebrogenic
headaches, tension headaches, migraines, and sinus and allergic headaches!
